There was solar flare on friday that was aimed square at earth. I was reminded about it by a friend about 100 miles to the north. To save money / energy, at midnight the streetlamps in my area of town switch off, so I went and found a field. Even though my lattitude is only about 53 degrees north in suffolk, I could just about see it.
